Gray day Tuesday. I took this picture Tuesday morning. Toddler Terror and I drove out to D.'s ranch. I collected my payment for riding the paint filly in the late morning yesterday. Cookie was already gone. I didnt ask where to, I do not want to know. I was paid more than I expected, more than the usual going rate, more than I asked for. I was suprised because L.D. isint known for his generosity. Later in the day yesterday, the sun finally came out to shine.

Sometimes I feel like Elvis and the Old Guy are the only 2 beings who would really miss me if I dropped off the face of the Earth. Of course, unless it was dinner time. Then, my family would all be standing around the kitchen wondering where the heck I was and why the heck dinner was not ready.



Horse and Rider


The prairie blows the grasses
And whips the horse’s mane.

Through the sea of amber grain

Hills roll by, and clouds pass

Upon the wind blown grass
