Missing, Colton Clark
9 yo Colton Clark's story is diminishing quickly. This little guy has been missing since 4/20/06 from his Oklahoma home in Seminole county. Of course, no AmberAlert was issued because nobody knows if he was abducted or ran away....most 9 yo children do not have the survival skills to run away from home for a long duration. Certainly NOT 17 days or so. What alarms me is the facts that Colton's dog returned home without Colton and law enforcement is looking for a truck seen near Colton's home the day he disappeared. A 2003 gold GMC extended cab with a long bed, tinted windows, a black bumper and Oklahoma tags. Police are saying Colton may have run away to avoid a psychiatrist appointment for counseling, but his mother, Rebecca Clark, says her main concern is that the tracking dogs never picked up a scent of her son: a possible indication he may have been taken, if not by a stranger, by his biological family. Obviously Colton has some issues he is working thru. Because this child may have been troubled is his case being treated differently? I believe so. A billboard for Colton is set to go up today thanks to his families hard work and flyers, t-shirts have been passed around in hopes of getting his story out. There are no local news trucks in downtown Seminole anymore. The sheriff's department has resumed normal patrols. But, the flyers are still on the store fronts. Could Law Enforcement have done more? Yes, I think so. Apparently Colton's mother thinks so too. "We believe that somebody has our son,"Rebecca Clark say. The Clark family has been contacted by the Polly Klaas Foundation, an organization which helps find missing children. Psychics tell Colton's mother "They say that he is safe, he's with someone, he does want to come home, but he doesn't. He's afraid to contact the police." Hmmmm, I'd second guess those psychics! If they know this then they know who Colton is with and possibly where....Im not bashing psychics, I happen to know one guy who is right on the money with just about everything he sees/feels but sometimes he gets a big nothing and no feelings. He doesnt always 'have answers or feelings all the time' he cannot control his gift like others say they can. Anyhow, I am outraged that another Oklahoma child is missing and the case is shoved to the back burner for cold case workers to someday re-open. The searches should not have stopped, they should still be on going.
Colton is nine years old, about 4'4" and 65 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last wearing blue jeans, a sky blue shirt and white and blue tennis shoes. He wears silver-framed glasses and has a scar above his left eyebrow. His backpack is also missing. Anyone with information is urged to call the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at 1-405-382-9340.
