Bad Parents, Crazy Stunt, and T-Rex

On a Tulsa news station's website, I came across an article where 2 children were taken into protective custody after deputies arrested their parents. The kids were allegedly found living in filth. Law Enforcement said the home had an overwhelming horrible smell. They found clothes, food and dirt all over the floor. The refrigerator smelled like rotten food and the only kind food inside the home was rusty cans of vegetables. This happened in the town of Commerce,OK. A tipster led police to the home. The home had running water, but no other utilities. Police say drugs were found in the home as well. Grrr! What is wrong with people? No food, no electricity, no natural gas, and living in filth, but these idiot parents can afford drugs? I feel badly for these 2 children and the thousands of other kids living just like them.

Performance artist, 33 yo David Blaine has entered a big 8 feet tall plastic bowl filled with water at the Lincoln Center for Performing Arts in New York. Blaine will be inside the bowl for a week, then he will try the impossible stunt of breaking his 150-pound metal shackles and coming out of the bowl, all without air supply for 9 minutes. The record for the longest duration for which a person had held his breath is 8 minutes, and 58 seconds. Blaine will try to beat that to set a new world record. Crazy! Blaine trained with US Navy Seals to learn to stay underwater without oxygen and even lost a lot of weight so his body needs less oxygen. Pipes will be attached so he can breathe for the 1 week that he is underwater and also for using the toilet. Here is what Blaine said about that:

“My system is completely empty and I did that so there's no waste that has to ever come out, so that in the bowl I don't have to use the bathroom. I have a catheter in case I have to do a number one but I don't intend on doing anything else.”

gross-but at least he prepared himself, probly the best since this is televised.

This is Sue. The most complete T-Rex ever found. She is 42 feet long and was estimated to have weighed 7 tons when she was alive 67 million years ago. And, shes coming to Oklahoma. I want to see this exhibit! Sue will be displayed at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History in Norman OK. The dinosaur is named for Susan Hendrickson, who discovered its remains off a South Dakota cliff in 1990. It is a long drive from here, but Ive never actually seen one. My 12 yo would love it. And, they are open on Sunday...
